About Us

Treaty acknowledgement

USS Decker gathers in Edmonton, Alberta, on Treaty 6 territory and in the homeland of the Métis. We recognize the enduring relationships that First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples have with this land, including the Cree, Dene, Anishinaabe (Saulteaux), Nakota Sioux and Blackfoot peoples. We honour Indigenous histories, cultures and contributions, and the stewardship of these lands and waters across generations. As a community built on friendship, respect and learning, we commit to listening, building respectful relationships and supporting reconciliation.

Our mission

The mission of the USS Decker is to keep the Star Trek dream alive by building community, fostering lasting friendships, and embracing Gene Roddenberry’s vision of a brighter future. Guided by Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations, we celebrate our differences and bring people and families together through shared interests, fun, and a spirit of belonging. Through personal growth, kindness, and service to our friends, neighbors, and community, we work to make that brighter future a reality.
